For more than a century, Simmons has broken down barriers to offer transformative learning experiences. We were founded in 1899 with the revolutionary mission to prepare women to earn independent livelihoods and lead meaningful lives. Our School of Social Work remains dedicated to continuous innovation that further increases educational access for all people. This historic commitment to social justice informs our social work curricula at all degree levels.
Close-knit community is at the heart of a Simmons education — and online programs are no exception. On top of rigorous academics, aspiring and experienced social workers can form meaningful bonds through student groups. Our faculty also serve as mentors who offer relevant insight into social work practice. This strong support system ensures Simmons’ online students are never alone in their social work journeys.
We also offer on-campus BSW, MSW, and PhD programs.
